Stellar M22 IPL

The Stellar M22 IPL/ResurFX™ light treatment system from Lumenis® uses beams of light to stimulate your face’s natural production of collagen and elastic fibers, improving the overall skin appearance.

This treatment enables us to offer you remarkable results on a range of skin concerns such as age and sunspots, freckles, birthmarks, rosacea and broken capillaries.

Light pulses penetrate the tissue and create heat, targeting the skin imperfection in a controlled manner.

The body’s natural process then removes the treated tissues, while collagen and elastic fiber stimulation occurs, resulting in a visible improvement in skin tone and overall appearance.

IPL is safe for most people but is not suitable for everyone. Pregnant women and people who are on blood thinners should avoid IPL

It may feel like a rubber band flicking against your skin but it is very tolerable.

Following the procedure, many patients may observe redness and swelling in the treated region, which is simply a natural skin healing response and typically subsides within a few hours to a couple of days, depending on the treatment intensity.

A few individuals might experience mild scabbing or crust formation in the pigmented areas for several days post-IPL treatment. This occurrence is expected and is indeed a desired effect of the treatment. These areas will naturally shed within a few days and can be concealed with makeup, generally not causing any disruption to daily activities.

Patients reported visible improvements after 3-6 treatments, though many patients choose to have routine treatments as part of their overall skincare regimen.

It’s advised to steer clear of direct sun exposure on the treated area for a minimum of two weeks post-procedure to minimize potential hyperpigmentation, which is darkening of the skin. Additionally, we strongly suggest applying sunscreen consistently after the procedure to safeguard your skin from any additional harm.
